Please, ensure you have it installed and on a higher position in the mods list. Not that you can't enjoy it now mind you, i'v seen nothing but praise from all the youtubers who're playing it now, but there will be some inevitable character wipes in this stage of beta and i'd rather wait.Libraries required! This mod requires the HugsLib Library and the Harmony Library in order to work. If you're interested in this type of game get Terraria, it will probably be like 2$ on the winter sale, and play it until Starbound reaches the second stage of beta, that's when i plan on buying it aswell, by then it should be stable enough to have a very enjoyable experience and you should be done with most of the stuff you can do in Terraria. Work has not even started on Terraria 2 so there's not even an estimate on when it might be out, RED's not even done with the patching for Terraria yet. Moving on to Starbound from Terraria just seems like a natural transition to me. From everything i'v seen about starbound it looks like it's taken the terraria formula and vastly improved it so i don't see anything not to like. I've played terraria a lot, 269h on my steam account and probably another 300 or more back when it was in beta, i have done, insane building projects aside since i'v never been into that kind of stuff, everything there is to do in the game both alone and with a friend. Honestly it's as pathetic as the minecraft fanboy butthurt back when terraria came out. I don't get why one has to be better and i also don't get the butthurt i'm seeing from some of the terraria fanbase all over the internet. How is that NOT an evolution of the Terraria formula? Again, Terraria was fantastic, I loved it, but give Starbound some more time before you dismiss it. Quests for each sector, NPC villages, better and more diverse dungeon generation, a truckload of more variation in building materials/decorations, each race being able to craft their own versions of gear/weapons, planets having something other than the same zombies over and over, 3D printing items on your ship, being able to get Tech items like hoverbikes and Mechs. I had a legendary axe made of bones drop, that had modifiers to release a shockwave that then morphs into a hail of bones, yet it was level appropriate and not some overpowered beast that would carry me through the game. My "evolution" comment is in regards to things like planet exploring, instead of just spawning a new world with cramped nonsensical biomes, over.and over.and over. I know there has been some pretty heavy discussion about making that change already. That said, I do hope that once you have crafted an item once, you will get a shortcut schematic that doesn't involve previous tiers. I have a gold pickaxe that I have maintained just fine by occasionally repairing it with a single Gold Ore.
You don't have to rebuild them through each tier all over again. Tools can be repaired using the ore used to craft them.
